🚶 Suitable for all levels of physical fitness.
🌞 Dressing appropriately for the weather in Kananaskis (Nakiska Ridgetop) is crucial; checking the current weather forecast before arrival is advised.
👢 Thermal winter boots, such as Sorels, are needed. UGG style boots are not suitable. A limited number of winter boots are available for rent.
🧣 A warm hat, sunglasses, and warm gloves or mitts are essential.
🧥 Dress warmly in layers for snowshoeing; wool or fleece is recommended over cotton, including long underwear, a mid-layer, and a jacket.
🧥 A winter jacket that is warm yet breathable is preferred over heavy ski jackets unless it's very cold.
👖 Lightly insulated or winter hiking pants are recommended.
🎒 A small backpack with snacks and water is suggested.
🧤 When dressing for snowshoeing, opt for warmer gloves and a cooler jacket than expected, and consider bringing a day pack for extra layers.
