Description
Discover the historic art galleries and sumptuous surroundings of the splendid Palazzo Altemps. Located in Piazza Sant'Apollinare, a short distance from Piazza Navona in central Rome, the palace began as the private residence of Cardinal Marco Sittico Altemps in 1568, and was opened in 1997 as a remote site for the National Roman Museum. Admire an important collection of Greek and Roman sculptures that belonged to various Roman noble families between the 16th and 17th centuries, including the Boncompagni Ludovisi collection.
