Carlo Goldoni's House

Carlo Goldoni's residence in Venice is a museum run by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia. Purchased in 1914 by a city committee and donated to the city in 1931, the palace has become an integral part of Venice's cultural heritage. Beginning in 1953, it housed the "Casa Goldoni" Institute of Theatrical Studies, which was recently restored and converted back into a museum. Its second floor is dedicated to a library.
