Museo e Cripta dei Cappuccini

The Crypt of the Capuchins in Rome is an evocative site located beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini. The crypt houses the bones and mummified remains of some 4,000 individuals, elaborately decorated to create enchanting Baroque motifs. The complex also houses a museum illustrating the history of the Capuchin Order.
